The Old Tyme Mardi Gras ecard is a sequence of vintage postcards and posters beginning with a late 1800’s poster called “The Masquerade” with a couple at a Mardi Gras event dressed in the late 1700’s style with big dress, feather hats, masks dancing with one another and in the background people dressed in the same style as well as dressed clowns, bears and period clothing. Next a postcard circa late 1800’s titled “The Mardi Gras - New Orleans” with a large and highly decorated parade canoe like float with ladies dressed with fancy dresses, wings, flowers and two men, one dressed in Mardi Gras garbs. Next is a postcard circa 1920’s with men dressed as clowns waking down the parade. Next, a music publisher poster caller “The Mardi Gras, march and two step”with people dressed in Mardi Gras parade, clowns, jesters, ballerinas etc.. To the next poster caller “Mardi Gras 1939 New Orleans” with a man and woman dressed in art deco era fashion with masks and jester hat. To the final postcard of a woman dressed as Columbina who is Harlequin’s mistress with tricorne hat and darling dress standing on a quarter moon and surrounded with flowers. The final banner appears reading “laissez les bon temps roller! Happy Mardi Gras!”.
