The Old Tyme bon Voyage ecard is a sequence of vintage beautifully illustrated travel posters starting with a drawn poster of Paris circa 1950’s with a French police facing us directing traffic at night and the Arc de Triumph in the background and many cars on each side of the police, lights on each side of the Champs Elysées, stars in the sky and a plane flying with the word Paris at the top of the poster. Next is a sequence of 3 vintage posters, first one with the Eiffel tower, a plane flying at the top of the poster and Paris France written on the poster on a red white and blue background. Next a Texas vintage illustration poster where we see a man’s legs from the back wearing cowboy boots and holding a cowboy hat at his hip. The background shows a Texas town skyline with high rises and captions saying Texas and “Braniff International airways”. To the next poster with “España” written at the bottom and showing a beautiful illustration of Spanish buildings and fireworks along with a lady dancing holding a lovely fan. Then a poster of Napoli with ancient towers and the Vesuvius volcano in the background, to Egypt with a poster of the pyramids, Sphinx and men with their camels and tourists with Trans World Airlines written at the top. To Jamaica where the poster illustration show a woman with a large basket of fruits on her head, a tree and hibiscus flowers next to her and the ocean and mountains on the other side with the words “Jamaica, the gem of the tropics. Beautiful healthy accessible”. To “California this Summer” at the top of the poster circa 1920’s with a woman wearing a 1920’s dress and holding her hat sitting on a low fence and looking at the Californian rolling hills. Next “Yellowstone National Park” showing the Old faithful Geyser. Ending with a poster circa 1940’s of a French Line boat on the water facing us with “bon voyage” written at the bottom and the final banner reading “All aboard! Wishing you the time of your life!”.
