There are 3 ways to send cards from Doozycards.com.

Open a 10 Day Premier Membership Account Free Trial:

This account allows you to send an unlimited amount of Doozy Premier Cards from our entire inventory FREE for a trial period of 10 days.  If you continue your Premier Account longer than the 10 day trial period, you will be charged our annual subscription price of $19.95 and your account will become a Premier Account.

Open a Premier Account Membership:

This account will allow you to send any card on our website as often as you wish for a whole year. Sign up for a 10 Day Free Trial first (see instructions above). The Trial will automatically convert to your Premier Account at the end of the 10 Days; you don’t have to do anything once the Trial begins. The Premier Membership costs $19.95 for the whole year. There are no other charges of any kind for using the site.

 There is no account needed to send cards marked “FREE” or to send cards from the Free Card page:

Our Free ecards are just that, Free! You do not need to sign up for anything to send one. Simply click on the card of your choice marked "Free" or found on our Free Ecard pages, and fill in the sending information and your personal message. Then click Send and off it goes!

Open a Free Account to use our Reminders system for free Birthday, Anniversary & Holiday reminders

To open a free account click on the menu item, "Reminders" at the orange menu bar at the top of the site on the Home Page. Then, fill in your information and click submit. You will have a password protected  free account and may use all our reminders, send free ecards from our Free Ecard pages, and use your personal address book, all with no charge.

You can send any Doozy card from our Doozy Card website free for ten days with our 10 Day Free Premier Trial offer. You will need to input your credit card information to sign up for the 10-Day Free Trial.  A 10-Day FREE trial allows you to send as many cards as you like for 10 days. If you do not cancel your free account within 10 days after signing up for your free trial, your accounts automatically becomes a Doozy Premier Account. You can cancel your 10 day free Premier trial account anytime during the 10 day trial period on the website on the “My Account” tab at the top of any page.

  1. Click on the “Join Now” orange button on the top right corner of the Home Page just above the menu bar.
  2. This will lead you to a Join Now/Sign in  page. Fill in your email address in the two boxes on the left side of that page (you are asked to fill it in twice as a precaution to prevent typos). Then click "Submit". On the next page you can finish the sign up process following the intstructions there. This will set up your 10 Day Free Trial Premier Membership and you will be able to send cards immediately upon successful completion of the sign up process.

Doozy offers two ways to send ecards marked "FREE".

First,  you can send any card marked "FREE" without singing up for any account at all! Just go to the Free Card pages or select a card marked "Free" and click on the card. On the next page, simply fill in the sending information, and your personal message, and click "Send" and you are done! You can send as many free ecards as you wish as often as you wish.

We also offer a Free Reminders account which is password protected to safe guard you and your family and friends' information. With this type of account you will have free use of our birthday and holiday REMINDERS system. You will always remember your important occasions when the Reminders system sends you a email reminding you of each event. You will also be able to send any of the Free ecards and use a personal address book.

To open a Free Reminders membership go to the Home Page and click on the Reminders menu option in the orange menu bar across the top of the site. On the next page, simply fill in your information and choose a password and click Submit. You are then ready to use your Free Reminders.

Doozy Cards respect your privacy and will protect your private information. We guarantee to never sell or otherwise distribute your email address or personal information.

Credit card processing:

We use the highest secure encryption software available from PayFlo (formerly Verisign), a subsidiary of PayPal, to process your credit transactions. This same software used by many major US banks online. Even your password is shielded from our own eyes for your privacy and protection.

Spam & spyware:

We would never be associated with any spyware or Spam programs. EVER! We despise this type of invasion of your computer. We think that spyware is a serious violation of personal privacy. We are very protective of all personal information you have on file with Doozy Cards. We will not sell or loan your or your recipient’s personal information to anyone. EVER!.

Frequently, when people visit our site, they also visit other purely “free” card sites. Unfortunately, many of these “free” card sites may attach spyware to the visitor’s computer. This is how many of these "free" card sites cover their cost and realize a profit without charging a fee. Then the site visitor gets bombarded with spyware attacks on their personal computer. In addition, if the site visitor sends a “free” e-card, these “free” sites may also sell the visitor’s and recipient’s email address to a third party Spam operation. These types of activities should be illegal. Unfortunately, at this time, they are not illegal. However, in our opinion, this type of business activity is certainly unethical and extremely offensive behavior. We will never consider it.

We are a subscription based site. We give cards away free in hope that you will be impressed with our product and eventually subscribe. Our cost and eventually our profits are covered 100% by the subscriptions. At this time, we do not even have ads on our site. Our subscription base is growing rapidly and so we have confidence in this business model. We know you will have trust in us as well.

When you sign up for a 10 Day Free Trial our credit card processing company, Verisign, submits an authorization to verify your card in order to prevent fraud. The authorization is similar in appearance to a charge on your statement. However, no funds are transferred to Doozy Cards until your 10-day Free Trial period has expired and you have become a Doozy Premier member.

If you used a debit card to set up your 10 Day Trial, please be aware that most banks put a freeze on the $19.95 that would be charged at the end of the 10 days. These funds are not transferred to Doozy until the 10-day trial period has expired.

If you cancel your 10 Day Trial, the authorization should be removed after approximately 3 business days (i.e. not including weekends and holidays). If you have cancelled your trial and the item has not been cleared after 3 business days, please contact support@doozycards.com .

1. To cancel a Ten Day Free Trial account during the 10 day trial period, log in to your membership.

2. Click on the “My Profile” menu item at the top right of the website in the orange menu bar.

3. Select the menu item, "My Account".

4. Then click on the blue “View my subscription information” link near the bottom of the page.

5. On the page that appears you will see a gray button to cancel your Free Trial. When clicked, you will see the following message:

WARNING: Canceling your Premier account may ERASE any cards you have set up for FUTURE DELIVERY and may limit the cards you can send on the Doozy site to only those cards marked "Free". You will still be able to set up and receive Birthday and Holiday Reminders. Are you sure you wish to cancel your Premier account?

6. If you still wish to cancel, select "Yes".

7. An email confirmation of your cancellation will be sent to the email address on your Doozy membership. Your Free Trial is now cancelled and there will be no charge.

To cancel a free account, just email us at support@doozycards.com and request that your free account be canceled.

WARNING: If you cancel your Doozycards.com FREE Reminders account, your Birthday and Holiday Reminders, your Doozy address book, card history and any cards you may have set up for future delivery will be PERMANENTLY ERASED.

  1. In the upper right corner of any page, to the right of the Help link, click on  “sign in”.
  2.  

  3. On the Sign Up page, enter the email address you used to set up your Doozy account and then click on the “lost your password?” link. A new link to reset your password will be sent in an email to you at the email address you entered, which matches the address on your Doozy account.

  5. So that you will be sure to receive your password email, be sure that your spam and junk mail filters are set to accept emails from doozycards.com.
  6.  

Possibility 1: Wrong email address:

You may be using the wrong email address to sign in. Be sure that you are using the email address that you used to open your Doozy account.

Possibility 2: Passwords are Case Sensitive:

Passwords are “case sensitive” and therefore need to be typed in with the same arrangement of Capital and lower case letters with which you originally set the password when you first signed up for your Doozy account.  If you cannot remember the password that you used to set up your Doozy account, then sign in by entering the email address you used to set up your Doozy account and then click on the “ I’ve lost my password” link. A link to reset your password will be sent in the email address on your Doozy account. Be sure that your spam and junk mail filters are set to accept emails from doozycards.com.

Possibility 3:  Your computer's cache may need to be cleaned

It is always a good idea to clean your cache (temporary Internet files on your computer) and sometimes a full cache can prevent you from logging on to the site or entering your recipient’s email addresses. Please read the following:

  1. At the top of your browser click on the menu item “Tools”
  2. Click on the last selection listed, “Internet Options”
  3. A box will open. It should open to the tab marked “General”. If not, select that tab.
  4. In the second section of the box titled, “Temporary Internet Files”, click on the “Delete Files” button.
  5. Deleting the files may take a few minutes depending on how many there are and how long it has been since they were last deleted. They are finished being deleted when your mouse cursor turns from an hour glass icon back into an arrow icon.

When your temporary Internet files have been deleted, click on “OK” at the bottom of the box.

Possibility 4:  Cookies may need to be enabled

Premier Members
Even though you have a Doozycards Premier Account, you may not be able to sign in and you may be seeing one of two messages. One may tell you to “Enable Cookies”. The other informs you that you need to create a new account or you need to upgrade to a Doozy Premier Account. In either case, to correct this problem, set your web browser to accept all cookies from Doozycards.com.

How to set yoru cookies to work with Doozycards.com

  1. Be sure your Internet browser is set to the Doozy website.
  2. Click on the menu item “Tools”
  3. Click on the last menu item called, “Internet Options”
  4. A box labeled “Internet Options” will open. Go to the "Privacy" tab.
  5. Click the "Edit" or the “Sites” button near the bottom of the box.
  6. A new box labeled “Per Site Privacy Actions” will open.
  7. In the field that reads "Address of Web site:", please enter “http://www.doozycards.com”
  8. Then click on the “Allow” button once.
  9. You should now see "http://www.doozycards.com" listed under "Managed Web sites" with its Setting shown as "Always Allow".
  10. Be certain that the setting is not “Block” or “Do not Allow” but reads, “Always Allow”.
  11. Click "OK" at the bottom right of the box.
  12. Then click "OK" on the “Privacy” tab of the previous box to save your changes.

For Netscape

  1. Be sure your browser is set to the Doozy website.
  2. Go to "Edit" on of the menu bar.
  3. Click on "Preferences".
  4. A box will open labeled “Preferences”
  5. On the left side of the Preferences box titled, “Category”, click on and expand the "Privacy & Security" category.
  6. Click on "Cookies".
  7. Check the option "Enable cookies for the originating web site only".

FINAL NOTE ON PASSWORD ISSUES:

If after trying everything above you are still having sign in or password issues, please contact us at Support@doozycards.com and we can reset your password. Please provide us with the password you wish to use on your account or, if you prefer password secrecy, we can reset your password with a temporary one. You would then be able to log into the site with the temporary password and change it to one of your own liking.

  1. Sign in using the email and password with which you created your Doozy account.
  2. Click on “My Account” at the top of any page.  You will then see a page with all of your personal account information.
  3. Enter your new email address in the both email address box and in the confirm email box and then click on “Update”.

If you have forgotten the email with which you signed up for your account, send us an email at support@doozycards.com .  Please include the first and last name you signed up under and our technical customer support staff can look it up for you.

  1. Sign in using the email and password you used to create your Doozy account.
  2. Click on “My Account” at the top of any page.  You will see a page with all of your personal account information. Enter your new password in the password and confirm password boxes and then click “Update”.

To cancel your subscription to your Doozy Premier Membership, simply click on the Cancel button below. While subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, refunds are not issued after a 10 day free trial has ended.

Sign in to the website,  Then, go to “My Account” tab on top of any Doozy web page. Click on “History” click on the “Delete History” button next to the card you wish to delete from your card history.

If you are using an older version of Web TV, you may be unable to view Doozy Cardtoons. If you upgrade to a newer version of Web TV that comes with a Flash plug-in or you then download the latest version of Flash Player, you will then be able to view all our Ecards. Sound solutions for Mac Users:

The three most common sound problems deal with sound settings on your Mac, Macromedia Flash, and/or browsers that need to be updated. Check your sound settings.

1. Pull down Edit Menu 2. Click “Options” 3. Click “Web Content” tab and make sure the “Play Sounds” box is selected. 4. Check to see if the sound on your computer is working on other Websites.

All Macs should have Quicktime Musical Instruments extension installed. Check in your System folder to see if Quicktime is already installed.

Macromedia Flash Player is necessary to play most Internet cartoons. Unfortunately, sound on the older versions of Internet Explorer for Mac does not work well with Macromedia Flash files. If you have received a card:

Click on the link in your email from Doozycards.com. Not all email services will retain the "Live" nature of an emailed link, though. If this is the case, there should also be the URL or internet address of that card's page which you can copy and then paste into your browser to directly play the card.

If this does not work, you can take the card's ID code from the email. It is listed so that you can copy it. Then go to the Doozy website (www.doozycards.com) and click on "Card Pickup" at the top of the Home Page (in the orange bar across the top of the page). Clicking on "Card Pickup" will bring you to a page where you can paste the card's ID code into a box and then click "Get My Card" to see it play.

 

If you are having trouble with any of these steps, please let us know. If you have performed one or more of these steps correctly and the card still will not play, you may need to download the latest version of Flash Player.

If you want to send cards that are not marked as “FREE!”, you will need to upgrade to a 10 Day Free Premier Trial account or to a 12 month Premier membership for a $19.95 annual fee. You can access both by clicking on the “Free 10-Day Trial” text next to Mr. Einstein on the top right corner of the Home page.

You will need a Doozy 10 Day Free Trial membership, a Premier Membership or a Free Card membership to send a card from the Doozycards site. To learn more about the different types of accounts, click on the Help topic, "What are the different accounts?"

 

Free Trial and Premier Members:

 

To send a Doozy Premium card, you need to have either a 10-day free Premier trial or a Premier membership.

  1. If you are already a Member sign in to your account (click on "sign In" at the top right hand corner of the home page).
     
  2. Click on the card you would like to send. You will see the card play on the next page.
     
  3. Now click on the gold/yellow button that says “Send this card”. It appears above and below the cartoon.      NOTE: if you have not yet signed in, the buttons will appear on this page as a Red one saying “Send this card with a Free Trial” and below that, a link in blue writing saying, “Premier Members sign in here”. Click on the Blue link to sign in and send the card.
     
  4. On the next page, personalize your ecard with your recipient’s name, email address, and your text message. Then, choose the date you would like to send the card and click “send”. To preview the card, click “Preview" before sending.
     
  5. NOTE: Your recipient’s e-mail address will automatically be stored in your address book unless you uncheck that option. You may also use your address book to enter previously stored email addresses of other recipients.
     
  6. Unless you unclick the box next to “notify me by email when the card is sent” above the send button, you will receive an email notice when your card has been sent to your recipient’s internet email service provider.  Likewise, unless you unclick the box next to “notify me by email when card is read”, an email notice is automatically sent to you confirming that your card has been read by your recipient.

 

Free Members:

1.      Go to the Free Ecard Pages or look for any ecard sub-titled "FREE" in any category.

2.      Then click on the picture or title of the card.

3.      While the card plays you will see a preparation area below the card where you may personalize the card with your recipient’s name and address and your own message. 

5.      Then click “send” near the bottom of that page.

 

Doozy Tip!
To update or edit your e-mail address on your Doozy account:

  1. Click on the “My Account” link at the top of any page.
  2. Change your new e-mail in the Email Address box.
  3. Click the orange “Update my Information” button at the bottom of the page.

E-mail confirmations go to the e-mail address on your Doozy Card membership account.
Is the e-mail account you are checking for the “card sent confirmations” the same e-mail that is registered in your Doozy Card account?


To check the e-mail address on your Doozy account:
1. Click on the “My Account” link on top of the Doozy web page
2. Click on the “My Profile” tab.
3. Check the e-mail address in the e-mail box.

How to change the e-mail address in your Doozy account:
1. Click “My Account” at the top of the Doozy web page.
2. Click on “My Profile”.
3. Enter your new e-mail address in the first box.
4. Re-enter your new e-mail address in the second box to confirm it.

You will receive an e-mail notification when your card has been sent out by the Doozy server to your recipient’s e-mail service provider and you will receive another e-mail when your card has been read by your recipient. You can choose not to receive these confirmations by manually un-clicking these boxes at the bottom of the send card page:

Is my workplace network blocking Doozy e-mail notifications?

If you are currently on a corporate, government or other organizational network, the network’s firewall or other screening software might be blocking e-mails from doozycards.com. You will need to contact your IT personnel to have them adjust the screening or blocking process to allow e-mails from Doozycards.com. If you send us the organization’s IT contact names, we will send the IT department a letter from Doozy Cards addressing our legitimacy, privacy statements and non-spamming policies.

Is my spam or Internet Email Service Provider blocking Doozy e-mails?

If you or your Internet Email Service Provider has Spam or other blocking software, it may be blocking e-mails from doozycards.com. If so, you may need to set your Spam or junk mail filters to accept e-mails from doozycards.com.

  • For Yahoo! Mail, Outlook or Outlook Express select: "Add To Address Book".
  • For Hotmail or MSN, select: "Save Address(es)".
  • You may also need to set your E-mail Accounts to accept e-mails from doozycards.com.
  • For all others, please ask your ISP provider how to accept e-mails from doozycards.com

You can check on the progress of any card you have sent by looking at your Card History.

To view your Card History click on "My Account" at the top of any page.

Then click on "History" in the blue menu bar and you will see all the cards you have sent.

The status of each card is on the right side of its thumbnail picture.

Also, unless you checked “no” (the default setting is “yes”) on the two statements below when you sent your card, you will receive a confirmation e-mail notifying you when the recipient has picked up your Doozy card.

Our e-card delivery system has a delivery success rate that exceeds 99.9% to the recipient’s Internet Email Service Provider (ESP). We monitor our site’s performance every 5 minutes from 13 locations around the world to constantly be sure everything is operating at peak efficiency. The problem in most cases of non-delivery is found in the recipient’s Internet Service Provider.

Here’s what happens when a Doozy card is sent:

  1. When preparing your card to send, you have the option of receiving a “Sent Card” confirmation from Doozy Cards. It will be sent automatically as the card goes out unless you click “No” on the check box at the bottom of the send card page.
  2. When preparing your card to send, you also have the option of receiving a second “Card Read” confirmation, after your recipient has downloaded the Doozy Card e-mail notification from their inbox, opened, and experienced your Doozy Cardtoon.
  3. It will be sent automatically as the card goes out unless you click “No” on the check box at the bottom of the page.
  4. Our Doozy Card servers deliver your Doozy Cardtoon to your recipient’s Internet Email Service Provider (ESP) instantaneously 99.9% of the time without failure.

5.      If you have received a “Sent” confirmation, and you have not received a “Read” confirmation, this usually means that there is a failure with delivery by the recipient’s ESP, employer organization, or recipient’s e-mail inbox causing a failure preventing your recipient from experiencing your Doozy Cardtoon.

Here are some reasons your Doozy Cardtoon may not have been read:

Has the recipient check their E-mail Inbox?

Sometimes recipients have not yet checked their e-mails. Your Doozy Cardtoon will wait in the recipient’s Internet Email Service Provider’s holding account, until your recipient checks their e-mails.

Was the card sent to the recipient’s correct e-mail address?

If the email address is bounced by the recipient’s Email Service Provider, we will forward the bounce notice to the email address on the account that sent the card. In addition, you should see a bounce notice in your card history page located on the “My Account” tab on top of all Doozy web pages.

To check the accuracy of the e-mail address you entered:

  1. Go to the “My Account” link located on top of the home page.
  2. Click on “Card History”
  3. Look for the thumbnail and recipient’s address on the card you sent. Review the recipient’s e-mail address that you entered. If there is a bounce notice or if you recognize the address as incorrect, you will need to resend another new Doozy Cardtoon to the correct address.

Is the Recipient’s Mailbox Full or Inactive?

In most cases, the recipient’s Email Service Provider (ESP) will notify Doozy if the recipient’s email address is incorrect, full, closed, or if you have sent a card to an inactive email address. In such cases, we will forward to you the ESP’s email notice and also post the notice in your card history next to the card sent.


If recipient’s e-mail box is inactive, closed, or over its size quota, their Internet Service Provider will not deliver your Doozy Cardtoon to your recipient’s inbox.

Is the Recipient’s Email service Provider timed out?

If the recipient’s ISP service is interrupted, delivery is impossible until their ISP service is restored.

Is the recipient’s spam blocker or Internet Service Provider blocking Doozycards?
If your recipient’s or their Internet service provider has Spam or other blocking software, it may be blocking e-mails from doozycards.com. If so, your recipient may need to change their Spam Blocker or notify their Internet Service Provider to accept e-mails from Doozycards.

How your recipient can set their e-mail accounts to accept e-mails from Doozycards.com

  • For AOL, select "Add Address".
  • For Yahoo! Mail, Outlook or Outlook Express select "Add To Address Book".
  • For Hotmail or MSN, select "Save Address(es)".
  • For others, please check with your ISP provider.

Is the recipient’s workplace network blocking Doozy e-mail notifications?

DOOZY TIP!
If your recipient’s card was not delivered because of spam or other blocking software, you may be able to use your own e-mail provider to send the cardtoon.
When you sent the card from Doozy you were also sent a confirmation e-mail from Doozy (unless you clicked on the option not to receive the confirmation).
In this confirmation e-mail is the link to the cardtoon you sent.
Using your e-mail’s forwarding process, forward your confirmation e-mail to your recipient’s e-mail address.
If your recipient can receive e-mails from you they will be able to open the forwarded confirmation e-mail you sent and click on the link to view your Doozy cardtoon.
You could also cut and paste the link from the confirmation e-mail into a new e-mail and send that instead of forwarding the confirmation e-mail.

For your account’s security, cards already sent cannot be edited. To edit or change a card or the address to which you want it sent, go to the Doozy site and send the card again, preparing it just as if you were sending it for the first time, but with your corrections added.

If you clicked “send card”, and your card has been sent, the card can’t be cancelled or retrieved for changes However, if your card is still pending or if you scheduled your card for a future delivery date, you can delete it before the delivery date you selected.

To cancel sending a card that is pending or for future delivery, do the following:

  1. click on the “My Account” link on the top of the page.
  2. Then click on the “History” tab.
  3. Find the card you want to cancel in the list of cards, which are listed chronologically.
  4. If the card has not been sent, you will see a “Cancel Delivery” button on the extreme right side of the ecard listing. If the “Cancel Delivery” button is missing, your card has probably already been sent.

If you want to edit the card before it was sent, you will have to cancel it first and prepare it anew.

If you have verified the email address you are entering as a correct email address, you may need to empty your cache of stored Internet files in your computer. Please be aware that by clearing your cache is frequently necessary. However, you run a risk of deleting cookies, which might affect the speed of loading your favorite websites on your computer the next time you visit those websites.

DOOZY TIP!
Cleaning the Cache in MS Internet Explorer:

  1. At the top of your browser click on the menu item “Tools”
  2. Click on the last selection listed, “Internet Options”
  3. A box will open. It should open to the tab marked “General”. If not, select that tab.
  4. In the second section of the box titled, “Temporary Internet Files”, click on the “Delete Files” button.
  5. Deleting the files may take a few minutes depending on how many there are and how long it has been since they were last deleted. They are finished being deleted when your mouse cursor turns from an hour glass icon back into an arrow icon.
  6. When they have been deleted, click on “OK” at the bottom of the box.

If you have Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo, you can download your Internet email address book into your Doozy address book with the click of a button.


1. Sign in to your Doozy account.

2. Click on “my account” located at the top center of the home page.

3. Click on address book located top center below “My Account”.

4. Click on “Import Address Book: located in the top right corner of the Doozy address book.

5. Enter your email address and the password for your Internet email account.  Click on the “go” button.

6. Your names and email addresses from your Internet Email Account should appear. Click on the green checkmarks to unclick any email addresses you don’t want to download.  Click the “import now” button at the bottom of the page. Your names and email addresses from your Internet Email Account should appear in your Doozy email address book

  1. Click on the “My Account” link at the top of any page.
  2. Click on the “Address Book” tab.
  3. Your address book will appear on the page.

Now you are ready to add or delete contacts to/from your address book.

To add a contact:

  1. Type the person’s first and last name and their e-mail address in the “Quick Insert” boxes located near the bottom of the address book.
  2. Click the “Save” button to the right of the boxes.
  3. The new name and address will appear in your address book listings in alphabetical order.

To edit a contact:

  1. Locate the contact, listed alphabetically by last name, in your address book.
  2. To the right of each contact there are the words, “edit” and “delete”.
  3. Click once on “edit” to the right of the contact you wish to change.
  4. When you have finished editing your contact, click either “Save” to save them in the address book or “Cancel” to ignore the changes you have made.

To delete a contact:

  1. Locate the contact, listed alphabetically by last name, in your address book.
  2. To the right of each contact there are the words, “edit” and “delete”.
  3. Click once on “delete” to the right of the contact you wish to eliminate.

The address book will refresh

You probably have a pop up blocker preventing the address book from opening. Usually, if you hold the control key down simultaneously while clicking on the address book, you will be able to open your address book. If this does not work, you may need to look up and follow the instructions in your pop-up blocking software on how to open a pop-up window.

You can send one card with the same message to as many as 29 people at one time.

First time sending a card to  a number of recipients.

1.   Select and click on a card as usual.

2.   Click on the green "Add More" button and another box for entering your additionial recipients' information will appear. 
      Do this any number of times up to 29. A box for each recipient will open on the “Send Card Page”.

3.   Fill in the boxes with the recipients' names and email address.

Remember, unless you unclick the add to address book option to the left of ea address, your address book will save the email addresses entered. It will not double save an address already entered in your address book.

2.      Click on the “Send this card” button above or below the cardtoon.

3.      In the “Recipient(s)” section, click on the link “.Click To Open Your Address Book.

Sound solutions for PC (Windows) Users: The three most common sound problems deal with sound settings on your computer, Macromedia Flash, and/or browsers that need to be updated.

    First, check your sound settings. Usually there is a small “speaker” icon at the opposite end of your Taskbar from the “Start” button.

    Double click the speaker icon and turn up the volume control.

    Uncheck the mute square if it is checked.

Contact your PC vendor for specifics on how to check and fix your system’s particular sound hardware and software.

Macromedia Flash Player is necessary to play most Internet cartoons. Unfortunately, sound on the older versions of Internet Explorer does not work well with Macromedia Flash files. Please be sure you are using the newest version of Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or higher) or of Netscape and the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player.

If you have received a card:

Click on the link in your email from Doozycards.com. Not all email services will retain the "Live" nature of an emailed link, though. If this is the case, there should also be the URL or internet address of that card's page which you can copy and then paste into your browser to directly play the card.

If this does not work, you can take the card's ID code from the email. It is listed so that you can copy it. Then go to the Doozy website (www.doozycards.com) and click on "Card Pickup" at the top of the Home Page (in the orange bar across the top of the page). Clicking on "Card Pickup" will bring you to a page where you can paste the card's ID code into a box and then click "Get My Card" to see it play.

Our Free Doozy Reminder system reminds you of important dates with email alerts sent to your Internet email address. When you sign up for reminders, you can send your friends and family emails requesting their birthdates or you can enter important dates manually. Our system will record the dates and send you email alerts before the date.

Use of Reminders is Free with any Doozy Cards account. To set up Reminders:

A) Doozy Members
If you are already a Doozy member, sign in and click on the “Reminders” tab at the top center of any page. On the next page click on “Set Reminders” and follow the instructions on the new page that appears.

B) New to Doozy Cards
To set up a Free account to use Reminders, just click on “Reminders” at the top of any page.

1. Then click on the “Join Now” held by Mr. Einstein in the center of the page.

2. Enter the information and Agree to the Terms of use, and you will now have a Free Account from which you can set up reminders!

3. You can also send any cards form our Free Cards area, which can be found by going to the bottom of the cards category lists on the left hand side of the home page.
In order to set up Reminders with Doozy Cards, you will first need either a Premier Membership or a Free Reminders membership. After having signed up with Doozy Cards, you have two ways to create your personal reminders.

First, you can create reminders manually. To begin the process, sign in and then click on the “Reminders” tab at the top of any page. This will take you to the Reminders page.

To create the reminder manually, click on the Green button on the left. It reads “ Click Here to create reminders.” You can also select the yellow, oval tab on the left hand side that reads “Add Reminders”. After clicking on one of these, you will be taken to the Create Reminders page. Here you can enter the type of reminders, such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, or retirements. Then select the month and day of the reminder, and the year if applicable. Enter the name for the reminder (which can be anything from Sally Smith, Pay Bills, or Parent’s Anniversary etc….) And then you can enter a brief note about the reminder, which can also be anything, so long as it fits within 50 characters.

Then just click on the red button that reads “Set Reminders” and you have manually created your reminder!

The other way to create personal reminders is by emailing people you know and requesting their birthday or other occasional information. Using our Reminders System email, they will be able to automatically enter their information into your Reminders for you.

You can send this Reminders information request using your Doozy Address Book. Once you have listings in your Doozy address book, Click on “Reminders” and then select the yellow oval tab that reads “Send Request”. Here you will find a list of all the people in your address book for whom you do not yet have a Reminder. Click on their names, and their name and email address will appear in the text box at the bottom of the page.

You can also enter names and email addresses manually to send your request email. In the text bars near the end of the page, enter the first name, last name and email address for a desired reminder, and then click add, their information will appear in the text box below. They will also be added to your address book automatically.

Once you have selected or entered all the desired contacts, click the red button that says “Send Request” and all the entered addresses will have an email sent to them, requesting their birthday, anniversary, or other special event information. When they complete the request form, the information will appear in your Reminders list.

Is my spam or Internet Service Provider blocking Doozy e-mails like reminders?

If you or your Internet service provider has Spam or other blocking software, it may be blocking e-mails from doozycards.com. If so, you may need to set your Spam Blocker to accept e-mails from doozycards.com or notify your Internet service provider to accept e-mails from doozycards.com

  • For Yahoo! Mail, Outlook or Outlook Express select "Add To Address Book".
  • For Hotmail or MSN, select "Save Address(es)".
  • You may also need to set your E-mail Accounts to accept e-mails from Doozycards.com
  • For all others, please ask your ISP provider how to accept e-mails from doozycards.com

Also, check to see if reminder is set for the correct reminder date.

Doozy Cards new reminder system allows your reminders to also be emailed simultaneously to other people of your choice.

To share your reminder with a friend or loved one, just follow these directions.

1. Sign in and click on “Reminders” at the top of any page.

2. Then click on the yellow oval on the left side named “Share Reminders”.

3. You can create shared reminders in two ways.

a. First: You can enter the first and last name of the person and their email address into the box at the top of the Share Reminders page. Then click the gray “Add” button.

b. Second: You can also select people from your Doozycards address book. Just click on the button that says “Open Address Book”. Select the people you want to add. Then, from the address book screen, click on “Insert Contacts” and those people will be chosen to also receive the reminders you have created.

4. After having chosen who will also receive your reminders, just select the reminders you want them to receive, from Holidays to birthdays of common friends or family members.

5. Then click the red “Save Shared List” button. Your shared list will then be saved and their Reminders will go out when yours go out to you.

Doozy Cards also supplies Reminders for Holidays. It is a quick and easy way to make sure you don’t miss a single important holiday.

1. To create holiday reminders, just sign in and click on “Reminders” at the top of any page.

2. Then select from the ovals on the left, “Add Holidays”. This will take you to the Holiday selection list.

3. On the list we have most of the Major Holidays observed in English Speaking countries (and others), followed by secondary holidays. Finally, we have specific religious holidays, listed under different the names of different religions. Just click on the appropriate religion, and select the holiday you are looking for.

4. Once you have selected all the Holiday Reminders you desire click on the red “Save Reminders” button. This will save all of your holiday reminders in your main Reminders list.

One great thing about our holiday reminders is that we keep track of the dates for you. While some holidays have consistent dates, others change dates depending upon the year or phases of the moon or other natural phenomena. Our system is kept up to date with all dates, sending reminders in a timely way to let you know when various holidays are observances are coming.

We all know how tricky computers can be, and sometimes a slip of the finger enters information we did not intend. So, Reminders can be edited when mistakes occur.

1. To Edit your Reminders, sign in, and then click on “Reminders” at the top of any page.

2. You should then see a complete listing of all the reminders created so far. Find the reminders you wish to edit.

3. Click on the icon of a pencil and writing pad on the right hand side of the Reminder list. This will allow you to Edit your reminder.

4. If you no longer want a certain reminder, click on the red “X” on the right hand side of the list. This will delete the Reminders from your list completely.
